The Human Capital Institute Africa (HCI
Africa) has assumed a lead
role in positioning the human capital and talent management agenda
front and centre stage in both the business and professional Human
Resources (HR) communities. Jeff Sacht, the founder and Executive Director
of Africa, works with McBassi on implementations of the McBassi People Index® for clients in Africa.
Jeff, an affiliate of HCI Global, is registered as both an Organisational Psychologist with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA), and as a Chartered Human Resource Practitioner with the South African Board for Personnel Practice (SABPP). He is the publisher-editor of the most widely circulated and read, bi-monthly electronic Journal for HR Professionals in Africa (circulation in excess of 25,000 subscribers).
His major strength is to rapidly understand what are often intangible organisational, and people performance problems, and to custom-design solutions in the areas of change management, performance management, organisation assessment, equity and diversity management, amongst others. He consults to both line managers and HR Professionals in both the public and private sectors.
An early milestone in his career was the wide-scale, and successful use of outcomes and standards based learning in the retail food industry to rapidly develop trainee managers for branch management positions. This was one of South Africa's first success stories with the large-scale use of subject matter experts (SME's) as assessors, and coaches to support learners with a self-paced, modular approach to learning.
