Association of Legal Administrators

The Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) was seeking to launch its first-ever "Extraordinary Law Firm Conference." ALA’s members struggle to get senior partners in law firms to devote sufficient attention to the critically important aspects of managing the "people side" of their work. This inattention tends to keep these firms in a chronic state of crisis, characterized by lost revenue opportunities and limited growth.

McBassi worked with the ALA to implement a modified version of the HCC Scorecard for nearly 70 ALA members. The findings from this analysis, including the positive statistical links between specific human capital management factors and financial outcomes within the participating law firms, represented an important breakthrough for the ALA and its members. The ALA members in attendance at the Extraordinary Law Firm Conference left armed with important new tools for building a business case for strategic investments in managing and developing people, linked to profitability and growth.
