Beaufort County (South Carolina) School District
The Beaufort County School District needed to find ways to improve student achievement.
McBassi worked with the Assistant Superintendent of BCSD to modify the HCC Scorecard (now the McBassi People Index®) for use in the setting of a school system. The HCC Scorecard framework was implemented by McBassi on multiple occasions throughout BCSD's 27 schools as well as all central office departments.
The resulting scores were then linked statistically to measures of student outcomes (scores on standardized tests). McBassi was able to use the analysis to identify 10 specific issues related to the district's work and learning environment on which BCSD should target its improvement efforts in order to bolster student achievement.
